Alright, I did my first injection last night and it went generally well, however slightly awry.
Part 1 - After a shower, got everything ready and sprayed the general area with alcohol. Laid everything out. Swabbed the top of the vial, and drew out as much as I needed. Swabbed the area of injection (ventrogluteal), waited approx 30 seconds and injected. I stuck the needle in, and ZERO PAIN and slid in like a hot knife through butter. No pain at all! Was pretty awesome and I was surprised I felt literally nothing.
Part 2 - Now this is where I slightly screwed up. I pulled back on the plunger to aspirate and make sure I didn't hit a blood vessel. Though, I wasn't thinking and I ended up pulling the plunger without holding the syringe in place and I pulled out the needle a bit. I was like "OH SHIT" and I tried pushing it back in and it felt weird. So I just withdrew the whole needle and acted as if I hit a vessel and replaced the pin, swabbed again, and re-injected (aspirated again beforehand of course). Pulled out and swabbed once more. Done
Feels like there's a brick in the side of my ass this morning when I woke up. I assume that's normal, as the oil is in there slowly dispersing. But does anyone see a problem with what happened?
