pwo shakes are only good for exogenous slin usage.
other wise i use real food.
it depends on if i am bulking or cutting. right now i am bulking so its a half litre of gatorade followed by a cup of oats(raw and blended) and 60grams of whey. then i go home and eat chicken and rice.
Tbls of Natty peanutbutter and a red apple. ALWAYS.
whey protein 40-50g
oats 45g
orange or cranberry juice enough for about 35g of carbs
blend...boom!
or dude, you know u can just take anything from muscletech...i mean, afterall, jay does and look at him![]()
powdered oats, then about 15 min later eat a meal

No protein shakes here, jus like Tai. I have some liquid aminos right at the gym just to get somethin in me and then head home for some real food.
If you buy your whey unflavored like me, try flavoring it with a little.. sugarfree jello instant pudding mix. Seriously. It's mostly maltodextrin and it has thickeners that make the shake less watery.

Cutting PWO
40g whey protein
1/2 serving of vitargo
3 tbl spoons of amino fuel
1 tbl spoon of glucosamine & Chondroitin
I drink this immediately after my workouts:
100g carbs via Pure Dextrose
50g protein via ON Gold Standard Whey
5g BCAA
5g L-Glutamine
3g Arginine
I then eat a real meal about 1.5 hrs after this.

I thought you were supposed to spike your insulin after a workout and I read in LeanMeOut's sticky "How to bulk" that he recommends 80g of dextrose for a PWO shake. I also read that 2:1 carb-protein ratio works well so I use 100/50 in my shakes. Do you see anything wrong with this?thats a boatload of sugar..
