milk causing bloating when cutting issue...

just wondering if anyone knows what causes that? i know many people say they eliminate milk from their diet when cutting up cause it makes them bloated, but is it the milk itself or the casein protein in it?

It's the lactose in milk which is a simple sugar. A lot of people (not all) don't have enough of the enzyme lactase that breaks down lactose in the digestion process. If you don't carry enough of that enzyme the lactose will slowly digest in the large ingesting causing gas or a bloating feeling. I've always had problems with this so I don't eat/drink many milk products whether I'm cutting or not. I've been tested but I'm not lactose intolerant it just gives me wicked wind!

yea, cutting carbs does suck. that's why i cycle my carbs. every 4th day, i get to look forward to carbs again . best thing is it also keeps your metabolism up by doing it. still can't help but feel the carb loading days hold me back sometimes, lol, but i know you gotta do it for the fastest results. nothing else cuts me up faster than carb cycling.

easiest thing to do is do a web search on "carb cycling" or "carb cycling diet". it's basically 3 low-carb days (approx 100-170g of carbs, mostly fibrous), followed by 1 high-carb day (approx 300-380, mostly starchy). the low carbs burn bf off while the high carb days keep your metabolism from slowing down. plus there's little concern of the excess carbs being stored as fat on that day cause your muscles are starved for glycogen at that point, so they'll soak them right up. there's a lot more to it, but just search the web and you'll find plenty of info.

Casein tends to make me feel a little bloated. So it's probably a comination of both.

I can't drink store milk without getting a little gas. I made the old lady a believer in raw milk.
