Chicken Breast - What is 1 serving?

I buy the packaged raw chicken from Perdue or the supermarket brand, depending on whats on sale, etc. They normally come packaged with about 4-5 pieces in the packaging. What is considered 1 serving? I want to get 50 g protein from each serving, how much should I be eating?

I'm assuming you can picture what I am talking about, so should I cut the pieces in half or just eat the whole piece in the packaging? I think it is around 3 lbs per package so 48 oz.

    Thanks!

I would just cook a bunch of it and then weigh out the servings you want. For 50g protein, depening on how lean the chicken is you will want about 6oz of chicken (prepared).

This may be a huge over generalization, but I've heard that a portion is generally the size of the face of your fist. Like a serving of steak is about the size of a deck of cards, which is around the size of the average fist.

    Just my 2 cents...

Problem with that is? What do you define as a serving? I mean a serving for me and a serving for my grandma would be different?

Counting and measuring is the only true way to know.
