    overtraining/pumps/Gear/questions

IM SO CONFUSED ABOUT OVER TRAINING.

Last year i was training my chest everysecond day. then have 2 days off
e.g. other body parts about twice a week.

    mon chest
    tue chest
    fri chest
Normally by sunday i was sore i would not train.
if not i would hit it hard.

Is this just me not training hard enough?

if so i will get a personal trainer.

    Who considers this over training?
    I got great pumps everytime.

I got up to a great size naturally and going to start cycling seriously, also advsied by one of the personal trainers to start to juice up.

    i am 21
    91 kg
    12 % bf

Yes it over training, move this to the workout section. Also to know how to work out correctly is cake compared to cycling. You still have much to learn my son.

yes, but years of knowledge and progression has shown that what you are doing is probably yielding inferior results vs the norm of once a week

you are actually doing more harm than good by training that much..your muscles grow when youre at rest, not in the gym. You need to give them adequate time to recover after you train them. Typically one bodypart/wk is more than adequate. I used to go 6 days a week and now Ive found I get way better results and have way better workouts going 4 days/wk

A misconception started a long time ago that bodybuilders spent 5-6 hours in the gym a day...blah blah blah

You have to find out what works for you but typically workouts last an hour and you never ever train the same bodypart 3x/wk.

I dont really believe in the not being about to train a muscle 3x a week BUT i would do a mon - wed - fri split as to give yourself enough time to recover. That being said i would also train with a easy - med - hard day.

would it not depend on how fast your body recovers?
plus if your on the "juice" you would think training more was ok
