    Four Day Sore

I took 2 weeks of from the gym, went on vacation. When I came back I droped my weight on all my lifts on my legs down. By about 100 to 90 lbs. I got a 4 day sore like I never have had.I had to take asprin for all those days. I mean geting out of my truck was an effort. I am a vet lifter. been at this game for 13 years. Any thoughts to this??????

    That's why I do not take complete lay-offs only a de-load.

Heh ,heh. Yeah I know the feeling. I've taken time off before and it's just too hard gettin back into it. Now instead of stop lifting completely, I found it's better to just go to the gym but lift light, and just have a brake of sorts that way. Work on concentration movements, try diff exerxises too.

yeah when i take some time off i find it hard for me too to get back to the gym too. i usually go and lift light or do some cardio or something just so i dont get out of the routine of going to the gym..and when i couldent make it to the gym i would do push ups and pull ups and i found that doing that made it so i wasnt as sore. when you went on vaca dident the hotel have a lil gym at it or did you stay at a relatives house?

De-load means to drop the volume while not giving up training all together.
