That is a wrong protocol for t3. The dosage should be tappered up to avoid problems and quitting can be cold turkey, although i prefer to tapper down also.
I did taper up. How long at a time do you run yours?Originally Posted by hugovsilva
As long as i please. Last time was 10 weeks straight.
I have run t3 nonstop since i started gh 2 yrs ago. i agree with hugo that you need to taper up and you can cut coldturkey
Who ever told you to do it like that should be shot. You taper slowly up to peak and slowly taper down. Not any 3/2

Start 25mcg and increase it 25 every 6 days until you reach the level you want, say around 100. Then when you want to come off use the same protocol. Decrease it 25mcg every 6 until your off.
2 years? wow didnt thought you were supossed to go short term with this?

Days 3,4: 75mcgs
Days 5-18: 100 - 125mcgs
And HERE IS THE CRITICAL STAGE:
The SLOW taper. This is CRITICAL so that TSH levels
are allowed to adapt to the dosage so that there is no crash.
Days 19-22 : 125mcgs (or 100 depends on your max)
Days 23-26 : 100mcgs
Days 27-30: 75mcgs
Days 31-34: 50mcgs
Now, SUPER-SLOW(TSH will be VERY sensitive to ANY T3 now)
Days 35-41 : 37.5mcgs
Days 42-48 : 25 mcgs
Days 49-56 : 12.5 mcgs
8-weeks total.

Check the link in my signature...
I have never gotten withdrawel symptoms from t3, but I have only used it in 10 day spurts while on DNP.
Have any of you gone on long term (more than 2 months) T3, and then stopped after tapering down, and then had a check after 2 months from then on your thyroid levels? I would be interested in knowing if they recovered to what they were previously...
As for withdrawel symptoms, my opinion is T3 is a very very gentle drug... very few side effects if any...
