    Chicken prices

Since chicken is probably a staple for most of us, just wondering what you usually pay for it. Specifically boneless skinless chicken breast. I'm especially curious about my fellow Canadians pay for it. Any searching I've done on here tells me our American bros pay way less. Here in Vancouver, I pay about $6/lb for fresh (unfrozen) chicken breast at Costco. Am I getting robbed?

Is there any benefit to fresh/unfrozen vs. frozen?

$4.49 per pound of fresh, unfrozen, boneless, chicken breast at Kroger. They have cheaper kind but its not as fresh and I have to cut away the tendons and cartilage and it doesnt taste as good (seems to be more chewy and stiff)

Where's that at JC? I've realized that food in Vancouver apparently costs way more than everywhere else. Damn dense population.

For some off reason I have found around here that if you buy Halal chicken it is a little cheaper. About $4/lb where some places go up to $8/lb.

I was always under the impression halal was more pricey and makes no dif to me if I eat halal or not so I will sometimes grab that.

Well I'm in New Jersey and 6$/lb even 3$/lb is crazy I'd be broke and only eating 3 meals a day if I had to pay that.I don't buy it if I can't find it for 1.99/lb or less.
