Fuk arnold, he's betrayed us for the last time!

Read this shlt on another site and he left us hanging on steriods too, he's become a political fuk head

Sacramento, CA – Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law cutting-edge legislation that will provide police with an important new tool in solving gun crimes and apprehending armed criminals and gang members. AB 1471 passed both the Assembly last spring and the State Senate last month.

“We applaud Gov. Schwarzenegger for taking a bold step to solve gun murders in California. This ground-breaking law gives police officers a powerful tool to apprehend armed criminals and gang members before they strike again,” said Brady Campaign President Paul Helmke. “The Governor has set a new national standard for the rest of the country to follow.”

The Crime Gun Identification Act will require that all new models of semi-automatic handguns sold in the State of California starting in 2010 be equipped with technology to allow police to match bullet casings found at a crime scene to the handgun that fired the bullets. This technology, known as "microstamping," consists of engraving microscopic characters representing the make, model and serial number of a handgun onto its firing pin and other internal surfaces. These characters transfer onto the bullet shell casing when the handgun is fired. In instances of drive-by shootings, where the only evidence at the crime scene may be a casing from a fired bullet, law enforcement will be able to quickly obtain a critical lead.

Assemblyman Mike Feuer (D-42), a former Los Angeles City Councilmember who recognizes that law enforcement needs more tools to combat gang violence, was the author of the bill. It was supported by the California Police Chiefs Association, the Orange County Chiefs’ and Sheriff’s Association, the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC), and the Los Angeles Police Protective League, in addition to 65 police chiefs and sheriffs throughout the state.

Kay Holmen, the President of the California Brady Campaign Chapters, said, "Nearly half of all crimes go unsolved in our state. Microstamping technology will provide our police officers with solid leads for finding armed criminals before they do more harm. This new law will allow our police to trace the crime gun---without the gun.”

As the nation's largest, non-partisan, grassroots organization leading the fight to prevent gun violence, the Brady Campaign, working with its dedicated network of Million Mom March Chapters, is devoted to creating an America free from gun violence, where all Americans are safe at home, at school, at work, and in our communities.

no .50" caliber r***es allowed- no one has ever been killed with one in that state!
    no surplus semi auto r***es
handguns will be made hard to sell in california. Look at the future and you will see more gun laws in that state while the rest of the country is more pro gun.

I'm not into guns but all the gun laws aren't gonig to help. The thugs and criminals dont get permits and BS. So making those laws tuffer dont matter. Stricter laws just make it harder for the average guy to get one.
This new law wont make a difference either. So what they can match a gun to a bullet? So now the gun will be at a bottom of the lake after they use it. It will tell them were the gun was originally sold. You know they gun will have been mysteriously stolen months before

They can already match a gun by it's casings and bullets, they have been doing it for hundreds of years, so why do this, to make gun companies say fuk it since california will be too expensive to sell in so they won't offer handguns for sell there!!!!

Here's the kicker folks. the metal in primers is so soft that you could not read the #"s that would fit on a tiny little firing pin, get it, no company can make the gun, no new handguns for sell

Sorry, but i don't see what's wrong with that...Cali has always been on the leading edge of firearm legislation just because of the amount of crimes commited with them. I don't see what's wrong with having every gun stamp a "signature" on a bullet casing...

yeah its a good theory but like gixxerboy said the criminals using them for crimes arent going to the store and buying them new they get them off the street. so it only helps if the original owner is the one shooting people

HAH! I told you guys this! I can't believe so many people here keep saying "ARNOLD FOR PRESIDENT!" and expect him to grant perfect freedom for steroids. That couldn't be further from the truth.

I wouldn't want Arnold as president! Fvck that!! That guy took the biggest 180 ever. Back in his prime during the 60s and 70s, he was such a rebellious hippy liberal-minded back then. Now he is a neo-conservative protecting family values and social morals (not that those two things are a bad thing), and has gone completely anti steroid.

As for the gun issue, who cares? People who want to kill someone will do it regardless, whether the gun is registered or not. Most crimes are committed with illegally-imported weapons from a country like the Czech republic anyways.

oh...didn't read that post...agreed after a coulpe houndred round the firing pin woul start to wear down. The marine corps M-16's have to have thier firing pin replaced after a certain amount of time because they get worn down so much they no longer hit the primer with enough force to ignite it, let alone put a unique strike into it
