    need some feedback about protein shakes

    I thought you were to have one pre workout and post workout...

    You can... I believe it's best, if you're supposed to pick any one time, immediately following a workout (up to 30 minutes). You don't "have" to have one before... Nor do you have to have one afterward. It's just that your muscles absorb nutrients like a sponge right after a workout. I personally drink a 1,200 calorie, 90 grams of protein shake throughout the day, and drink more if it post-workout then any other time.

    Any other time of day I'd agree with you... but postworkout, the body can benefit greatly from the broken down components that can be absorbed fastest.

    Yes, I think that your PWO meal is the most important meal of the day. And in this "meal" the best is whey protein powder with a ratio of 2:1 carb to protein. So, that means if you take 40g of protein powder then you need to add 80 grams of simple fast acting carbs to it like dextrose
