    Cold Chills during wkout

Does anyone else get cold chills when working out? The harder I push myself the more I get and don't understand why.

sounds like this could be stress on your central nervous system. happens to me sometimes, especially if i do heavy deadlifts.

Yeah, it follows after nausea on deads or squats. I make sure I put another layer on when I'm done.

A cold chill can develop after a hot flash. Your turning into a woman check_redhill...LOL...

Seriously though do you sweat a after an intense set?

Do you get shaking and a little sick to the stomach too? It sounds like you have used up your glycogen at that point. For cutting, it's ok to get that way at the end. For bulking, more carbs is probably the answer. Maybe bring a sports drink with you.

I would suggest taking in some Vitargo or Waxy Maize during your workouts. That will help if your problem is stemming from mild hypoglycemia, which it sounds like it is. CNS overload is something, but if that is the problem and it's consistantly happening, you need to take a look at your nutrition and workout split, because your recovery is not optimal

I would certainly give Pheednos advise a try and make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids. I had a client who would get these cold chills after doing a set of squats. He was not low on glycogen because he carbed op prior to training. The man sweat like crazy and rarely got sore. His doctor told him it was from sweating. The more he sweat the more he chilled.

Interesting - explains why I had sweats and nausea real bad when I did legs 5 hours after my last carbs on Wednesday.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I sweat like a pig, I mean really sweat even with the cold chills. I think it must be my diet. Gotta be. I've been working on losing some fat and made some changes diet wise but didn't think it would cause cold chills. I'll let you know if diet change makes the difference.
