I used to have to eat two bowls of cottage cheese with every meal to try to help me put on weight when I went to military school. It's not that healthy but just adding some sugar to it worked for me!

Flavored yogurt... although as to how yogurt will fit into your diet thats for you to figure out. Personally I don't care about that extra sugar in yogurt.

i dont know if i would add splenda..... even though water makes the enzymes digest differently its the only way i found to get cottage cheese down the hatch with less additives that would screw up the point of just eating it ....

If you eat the fat free kind and don't mind going with a 1 or 2% milkfat I've found that the latter tends to taste better to me. I love the small curd, 2% milkfat.

You could try sugar free jelly. Wouldn't do anything for texture but it would definatly change the taste.

depends on your use for the cottage cheese. I use it before bed for a slow digesting protein so no fat wanted at all....

I use it before bed as well. 1.5 cups with some peanut butter and celery. Doesn't fat slow your metabolism and thus absorption? Correct me if I'm wrong. . .

I'm not sure about it slowing your metabolism in general, but it does take longer to digest than a meal without fats.

Yeah I was going to ask the same question, wouldn't you want fat with it to slow digestion?

I know of people using fresh fruit. Sounds nasty to me though.

Sometimes I put salsa in mine. It's actually pretty good.

And yes, fats do slow digestion and not metabolism. Fats also lower the glycemic load of a total meal. Hence the no fats PWO rule. Fat and casein are good for bedtime for sure. mmmm cheese and a casein shake.....

Try putting chives in it. My grocery store sells a brand that has chives already in it. Doesn't add any sugar and a lot better than plain.

I wouldn't, it is a mix of milk proteins with fats. I think whey is a better tool before and after. It's good at any other time though.

diced fresh peaches or the "no sugar" added packaged kind with some crushed up graham crackers is the only way I can get the stuff down, but I eat that every day for my 11am snack. It doesn't sound like it fits Moush's diet but it may help others.

I find it is softer, easier to eat and a bit tastier (less sour) if I microwave it for a min and half until it is just hot.

If you want to add some salty flavor to it, try potassium chloride.
