    Nerve damage and Muscle growth?

After suffering a ruptured disk at c6/7 and surgery for such I notice years later now that I'm lifting again that I'm weaker still in my left pec and tricept which were the two muscles affected most by nerve damage pre-surgery. Will these muscles start to respond and grow again and will there be a limitation as to potential growth because of damage? Do these types of injuries cause permanent nerve damage or can they repair themselves at all?

    Thanks, KK.

well, i had some nerve damage that caused my left side to atrophy and motor function was crap for 2 months, but every week improved. the doc said if it slowly imporves over time that it will come back most likely 100% but in your case its been years....has there been a little improvement?
Also, many vitamins are crucuial in nerve health like the b-vitamins and vit-e, as a re fats and cholesterol. Make sure your having some whole eggs everyday and some saturated fats. Oleic acid and rape seed oil is crucial too. Oleic acid is found in olive oil and rape seed can be gotten from a good organic food store or health food store, but allso in "Udo's Choice" oil. ***** 3s are important too. Be careful not to over do B-vitamins though as they can cause tempory tingling in the hands and feet if overdosed. it can be reveresed upon cessation but be awre of this. I would take a multie, some extra e, totaling 800ius of e. for awhile, also id take an adittional b-complex of 100mgs of the Bs on top of your multi for a total of 150mg/day. You might want to do the B-12 shots also for awhile everyday or every other day and maintain with a shot once a week after awhile. maybe look into GH or igf-1 as well
    Good luck

Yes, there is improvement and it isn't as bad but noticeable on some movements. I will try the vitamins. Thanks for posting! KK
