Anyone who knows alot about TVs.

I'm looking to get a new TV - 2, actually.

One around 26" for my bedroom, and somewhere between 40-50" for the living room. The TV I have right now is getting moved into my game room.

Plasma or LCD, it doesn't really matter. I watch alot of sports and a movie every now and then. Me and the boys will get together and play some Madden or Tiger Woods every so often, as well.

Any specific brands or models? I'm not looking to spend a shitload of money, either. I'd like to keep the price as low as possible. I do want good quality, though.

PLasmas are better for lighter rooms and LCDs are better for darker rooms. I love my 54 SXRD

i agree, lcds are great.

anything thats 1080p with a 120htz refresh rate is good

If you want budget brands check out Olevia and Vizio.

Olevia and Vizio are the top selling budget brands giving Sony and the other companies a run for their money. If you are a videophile, you can see the difference between brands. The average person cannot.

I doubt I would be able to tell, without studying the two.

I'll check into the brands you listed, and try to find a reasonable price. As long as the Vizio and Olevia don't have any problems, I can sacrifice picture quality.

I love my Panasonic Hd Lcd. Panasonic makes a great product. If you are a movie buff and that is your only goal to watch HD DVD I would say plasma, but LCD is just an all around good buy

i just got a 42" panasonic plasma. i went plasma over lcd because i watch a lot of tennis and hockey, and i have noticed a difference on lcd's where you can see a bit of pixelization behind a fast moving object (e.g. puck or ball). plasma has a better look for fast-moving video, imo including action movies. like someone said above, if you get the 120hz LCD version, it makes a big difference in the image refresh (most are 60). i believe panasonic is the #1 consumer-rated plasma. i love my new tv!
