    blood pressure and supplements?

alright so i'm in class right now and i don't have time to fully research this on my own. i was wondering if anyone here knew if L-arginine, animal pak, glutamine, bcaa's, or creatine raise your blood pressure.

from what i been looking at i found out for the most part that arginine helps lower it and with the things in animal as well?

i'm 18 and i just failed my physical exam with a first test of 186/100 and then a 158/100 for BP. i have never had high blood pressure until recently i guess? could this possibly be genetic, if anyone has any possible answers thanks.

What's your diet like? Have you gained a significant amount of weight recently? Have you been doing cardio lately? Have you cycled any?

my diet is just till about 3 days ago only consisted of... oatmeal, turkey meat, tuna, vegitables, bananas, egg whites, water and milk. fridays i would usually eat junk food.

i do cardio 4-5 times a week for 30 mins untill about 3 days ago i now do it for an hour.

as far as weight i put on like 20lbs in about a month and half and i have never cycled before.

More than likely it's because of the weight gain that's causing your hypertension. That and you may have some slight water retention from the creatine.

What I would do is to up your potassium, and dietary fiber intake. Increase your cardio to at least 40 minutes instead of 30 minutes. I forgot to ask how much water are you drinking a day? Try to drink at least 1.5 gallons a day. If this doesn't help then shoot me a pm and we'll try work something out. I'm studying to be an RD so I can talk with other RD's and get their opinion on this issue.

alright yeah i was just talking to my brother and he told me about those berries... i have no exact amount of water intake but i drink a decent amount of water everytime i pass a fountain and i use the restroom twice in about a 50min peroid.

as far as cardio i started to do 1 hour now... and my brother said another reason might because i'm 5'5'' and 173lbs. gold's gym BF scale thing said i was 19% but i'm sure its off a little... don't know if my stats will help.

oh and till about a month ago i was using no-xplode.. the effects of that might still be on me?

No in salmon, dark tuna meat and other fatty fishs. You can always but it like supplement in pharmacy or healthy store.

I prefer flax oil over salmon oil...but good salmon steak is good supplement also
