    slow thyroid

A girl I know has a hypothyrodism. this means her thyroid is under active. she goes to the doc for this, and nothing seems to work. this is a problem she was born with. I told her to ask her doc. the other day about taking cytomel. The doc said she had never heard of it. Does any1 know if she took this if it would help her? also should she split the doses through the day or or just take them all at once? Thanks!!!

its taken for life, so getting a proper prescription is the the best idea here

cytomel is rarely prescribed... only Synthroid\Eltroxin.
Tell her to go to an endocrinologist ... not a family doc

How the hell could a doctor not know what Cytomel/T3 is?!?! That is a freaking disgrace.

Tell her to get a new god damn doctor to get a perscription and proper advice.
