Anti estrogen shows postive on Steroid Testing

For those of you who are in the military you guys probably already heard from your chain of command. If you haven't then here you go. I just got the e-mail on an E-Mail.

Schedule III Steroid Sold Online as 6-OXO

A product named "6-OXO" (androst-4-ene-3,6,17-trione) is currently being marketed as an all-natural nutritional supplement and is for sale on body-building websites. 6-OXO, an aromatase inhibitor, may help to increase testosterone levels in the body and is often advertised as an "estrogen blocker." 6-OXO is a derivative of androst-4-ene-3,17-dione, which is listed as an anabolic steroid in The Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004. Anabolic steroids are a Schedule III controlled substance under 21 U.S.C. 812.
Illicit use of anabolic steroids by military members is an offense under the UCMJ.

At this time, 6-OXO is still available for purchase online and is not yet banned, but it has received scrutiny from the Food and Drug Administration.
Sites that sell 6-OXO are not listing it as an anabolic steroid or that it may be illegal. Air Force members are advised to avoid possessing and using this product as it is potentially dangerous and is detectable in urinalysis steroid testing. Legal Offices are encouraged to get this advice out on their bases in coordination with the local Drug Demand Reduction Program personnel.
