Is my hr getting lower cause it's adapting to my cardio?

Normally I'll keep my speed at 3.5 and incline at 4% at this rate my heart rate stay's between 125-130,today my heart rate wouldn't go over 115 is this cause my heart is adapting to the cardio?

And if so should I shock my system by doing some sprints for a couple days or take a break from my cardio?or just elevate my level of cardio altogether?

Yeah that could be the cause if you have done the same routine for a few weeks then your body will adapt to that particular level that your at. Just up the intensity a little bit and that should raise your heart rate back up. Sprints should really have little effect on you heart rate at this point. Since sprinting and long duration low intensity exercise basically use two different energy systems, anaerobic vs aerobic.

Not to say you shouldnt introduce sprints into your routine, they just are not particularly great at increasing your oxidative capacity. But will increase your lactate threshold and processing. If any of this makes any sense to you. LOL

Yes your heart rate should get lower as you do cardio. I used to run 60 miles per week. My resting HR was 48. If you want to keep your hr higher then run at 80% max speed for 1 minute of every mile.
