    Please help!

    Hello my name is George I am 21 years old i'm 5'10 and weigh 135 pounds, to me this is extremely small. I have been this same size for almost 5 years now, I recently took a huge interest in my weight and my physical appearance, I have always had a very fast metabolism which some people think is a blessing but not in my opinion. I took up a very extreme diet for 3 months I ate 3500-4000 calories a day and consumed a protein supplement with lunch and before bed. After 3 months I didnt gain a pound, I am completely lost, I have tried everything I know of to gain weight and nothing works. Any suggestions/help will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome George.
    Bulking for those with a fast metabolism is certainly more difficult, but still possible. The key is proper nutrition. You need to follow a good bulking diet, there are some at the top of the diet forum that will help. Just consuming lots of calories is not the answer, you need to fully understand what ratio of protein/carbs/fat needs to be taken, and at what times of day. I've said many times before, following a true bulking diet is expensive, inconvenient, and necessary to grow. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Although you can gain weight just eating a ton of calories, it just won't be the type of weight you want (faT)

    Given you are training properly and I am going to take a guess and say you are not-you will need to get your calories in the form of liquids if you cannot gain weight eating solid foods. This means adding olive oil and macadamian nut oil to shakes, etc.

    What's your training routine look like?
