oh yeah forgot to add what the warm up should be like...
you say you got 315 for 8, ok titdy so do the warm up in stages,
you came in shy of 405 because of you being tired... aim to get a plate up every 2 sets and drop the reps down
Warm up of 2 sets on one plate (60kg) for 12 reps.
Stick another plate on (100kg) do a further 2 sets of 8 reps
3 plates (140kg) of 4 reps for 1 set.
3.25 plates (150kg) for 2-3 reps for 1 set.
3.5 (160kg) plates for 2-3 reps...
add 5kg (165kg)
3.75 (170kg) for one then...
add 5kg
(175kg) for one
then finally 4 plates (180kg) for one.
rest for up to 3 miutes between sets, dont go too fast. Make sure all you do is lower the weight to your chest and press up.. make your spotters take the weight out of the rack and hand it to you, same on putting it back, you hold it they take it off you. dont have any of this assist bollox.
