    Squat routines

Just curious what everybody's squat routines look like. For the past 6 months we did a standard 3-4 sets for warmup then did pyramiding up for 10-10-10 then a working set of 3 sets of 5. We started a new one today. We did the same warm ups but changed everything else. we reduced our normal weight and went with a higher volume. We went 20-20-15-15. We followed this up with 3 sets of hack squats at 10-10-10My leags were absolute jello after this with still more 1/2 of our leg workout to go. I was just wondering what everybody else was doing.

I pre-exhaust with 4 sets of leg extensions, then a couple warm ups on leg press then 3 or 4 working sets of 12-20 up to 700 pds. Then 3-4 sets of either front squats or sumos below parallel for 10-12 up to 315.

Squats first then leg press. Super set of extensions and ham curls then SLDL. Done in an hour.

I have read some article of people doing squats in the middle or end of their workouts. I think I would kill myself if I did this.

It might be because I'm good and warmed up at that point. I stretch a bit between every set also.

I mix squats into my routine at different times. sometimes there first, last or in the middle. And I base placement based on how my knees feels. Also use various rep ranges from 25-5.

My knees are a big factor too. Lately they have been very cooperative. They seem to feel better with a wider almost sumo stance. Really works my hams too.
