torn ACL never repaired.... knee buckle...

I tore my ACL in high school about 8-9 years ago... I never got it repaired as the doctor said if I wasn't wanting to do it right away due to being my last year in high school the surgery would be the same process at any point in my life.... anyway still haven't repaired it but want to start working out legs, I WAS one of those guys in the gym that would never work out legs but I at least have a tiny bit better of an excuse than 'i don't want big legs'

I KNOW working out legs will get me better muscle gains throughout the rest of my body as well as make me more proportionate. I have always been scared to do certain things though not wanting my knee to just buckle.... I can do leg extensions, leg curls but that gets my bad knee a bit sore so I can't do much weight... I do leg press but only have about 4-6 plates max which is not much weight at all obviously... I support my knee with my two hands when doing leg press.. I know squats are KEY and very important for when working legs but that's something I'm not too sure about...

Does anyone have any advice for me wanting to workout legs while having a torn ACL that's never been repaired?? Today = leg day so ANY advice, info, thoughts would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

    BTW, I'm currently on 400mg masteron / week, 250mg test e / week , 75mg test p / eod

stats: 6'2", 213lbs bf isn't low but i'm GUESSING it's around 17-21% ? Then again I haven't measured bf% for a long time so I really just threw that out there...

Diet: My diet is clean, I eat a lot of chicken, tuna, brown rice, etc etc... i'm getting aprox. 250-300g protein a day with probably 200-250g carbs a day...

not ready for the 6 month or so recovery time at this point in my life... I will probably be ready in the next 2 years or so but right now I have things going on for work that I need to be mobile.... =( I would love to get it done right now though... wanna get this crap out of the way.. but for the time being I have to deal with it still torn.... I can leg press, extensions, curl.... curls give me the most problems... just a tad sore / weak... pressing isn't so bad either but i don't think i'm going ALL the way down... I can squat like 200 lbs or so but just nothing major because I don't want to press my luck...

I would just do variations of squat and deadlift. No need for curls when you do compounds like that. Injuries are a bitch, good luck bro

cool thanks for the advice.. I'm just going to stick with weight that isn't too heavy on the smith rack for squats.. Anyway I think just the step of actually WORKING LEGS now is good..... i used to just skip legs but i'm going to work them out no matter how little of weight I have to use.... gotta get that GH going.. :]
