Working out one body part more then others during a cycle

I've read a lot about how you should only train each body part once a week. However, on my next cycle I would really like to work on my chest. For some reason during my first cycle, everything grew significantly but my chest always lagged behind for some reason. I know how to train naturally, so my training is good and my diet is great.

When I do cycle in the future, can I train my chest, say 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and train the rest of my body around this? Will the one day between each chest workout be enough to allow the muscle to recover enough before being abused again?

In a word, no. When you lift, you not only need to let your muscles recover, but also your central nervous system. I allow the same recovery time whether on a cycle or not.

So I couldn't lift even twice a week? Say Monday, Friday, Tuesday, etc... (3 days rest between each chest workout session)?

Or even 4 days between chest workouts?

If what you did last time didnt work, try something else. Hit chest twice a week. If that doesnt work, guess what.........Try something else. Everybody is different. I think hitting it twice a week would be a good idea. Maybe high reps one time and low reps the next. Of course theres always that shittty little thing called genetics. If you are like me, or most people on this board, that wont deter you. Trial and error my friend. good luck.

3x a week is a bit much, 2 at the max.

The pecs are quite large muscles and take considerable time to recover. I dont know your specific body type of intensity levels of training you are talking about, but its probably safe to assume 3+ times per week is overtraining, esp in the long haul.

try it out for a week or so, if you don't feel as though you're recovering well, then just stop... my 2nd cycle i trained chest twice a week with pretty good results. Not much in the way of size, but i gained considerable strength.
