    sprained wrist advice

I have had pain in my wrist for about 6 weeks now I have not yet had an xray but have been advised it is a mild sprain, I took a couple weeks off went on anti infamitary's and iced it every day the pain seemed to go away but the other day I must of strained it a bit and now its back. I am on test e cycle but it doesnt seem to help, other than rest is there anything i can use to help cure it asap.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed the pattern:

"I got injured and iced it and used anti-inflammatories and the pain seemed to go away until I went back into the gym and it was back..."

    MY COMMENT:

ICE AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES DON'T HELP TENDON AND/OR LIGAMENT INJURIES!

    my friend,

remember all those things that I said in the above post about icing and anti-inflammatories? Well...the same things apply with cortisone shots...except cortisone shots are about 3 times as bad as anti-inflammatories. If you want to avoid having wrist surgery in a few years, I'd suggest you stay away from getting a cortisone shot.

Where is the pain? When does it hurt?

I had a cortisone shot about 2 years ago and it really helped but my injury wasn't anything to do with a ligament or tendon, it was just inflammation..... and I agree with baron the shot will just make the pain go away for some time and plus I'm pretty sure I have heard that cortisone shots will weaken ligaments and tendons, so your probaly better of in the long run not doing it
