Alright I am new here, i have been working out for a little bit, I have been lifting on a bench in my basement, and I also run for cardio. But I want to bulk up, so can anyone help me out? I am literally a noob when it comes to all this. Oh and please be nice, LOL.

You definitely want to get a solid diet in place because without that you will not be able to get the gains you are looking for. There is a lot of information in the Diet forum. Check out the sticky on how to bulk up for a starting point. Also post your workout routine so we can see what you are working with.

I dont really have a workout routine, I just lift on the bench, push-ups and run. I would like some suggestions though. Keep in mind i am new to working out, so i will ask alot of stupid questions.

dude i'm 25 and new to wiegts.... allways been a cardio guy. i just submerged myself into the internet and more importantly by just paying attention at the gym. there's this guy at my gym he's like 55-60 and he's got so much knowledge. just remember if you ask for advise be respectfull and listen. and not all routines will work for you. i went out and got a trainer but at 19 i doubt you got the re$$ourses. just keep liftin and learnin that's what i'm doing.

Thanks for the advice, and yeah being 19 i am broke, but i do have alot of time on my hands to lift. I dont currently have a gym membership, but once i get a little bigger I think I will get one. Because I dont have much for weights, and only have a bench. I am also a skinny guy, so this is gonna be a challenge, but I am dedicated to getting bigger. I work in sales at ABC warehouse and my goal is to make it so the polo shirts i have to wear no longer fit.

Oh and if anyone has a diet they want to share, along with a workout plan, feel free.

How is the YMCA free? I just called they said $99 down, $33 a month. And i know what i should eat, but do i actually need to make a diet plan out? Oh and ill be getting a membership to the Y or a gym soon here, so some good beginner workout plans for bulking up would be nice to see, anyone have any?
