my hips dont seem to be fully recovering from the previous squat workouts and it is really effecting my speed even with the lighter weights. so i took few weeks off and rested up since i assumed it was from overtraining. when i got back to the gym and started my next program and noticed my squat strength went down at least 30-40lbs and my hips were STILL sore....
not sure what to do exactly, i thought i gave them enough rest. my normal squat stance is semi-wide and my diet/sleep/and supplement program is really doing awsome.
my question is: should i chill out on the semi-wide stance squats and narrow it up? or maybe take it as far as just doing quarter squats for a few weeks with a lighter load then eventually increase depth? or substitute squats for leg press for a few a month or so?..
just to clarify this isnt an injury, just prolonged delayed onset muscle soreness. (very very prolonged)
