    SS cardio while bulking.

I have read of ton a forums and posts now involving bulking diets and ss cardio, and some things were still left unclear to me.

It seems most because of the intensity of workouts while bulking suggest low intensity SS over HIIT, which is fine, and also suggest it after glycogen depletion (after waking up/after wokout).

If at that point the majority of what you`re burning is fat, then why does everyone suggest you WILL gain fat on a bulking cycle. If you`re doing low intensity SS cardio 5-7 days a week even twice a day, I see someone losing fat even on a moderate calorie excess, am I completely off base here? Also, does your body adapt to the SS cardio and slow fat loss the more you do it?

I know DC recommends not even chaning your diet, and just doing SS cardio in the morning 6 days a week.

Bascially i`m trying to start a bulking cycle here soon, and I want to know if I can lose fat on a bulking cycle, and if I do how much my gains will be slowed for LBM and why.

Also, if anyone has any good case studies or scientific reports on something relating, or even carb cycling strageties/anything beneficial to losing/keeping down fat while making maximal LBM gains, I would love to see it.

your body builds tissue the same way it uses it up. it will build all needed tissues to accompany the newly formed LBM. so you will gain some fat with it. but cardio can keep your %'s nearly the same and you will essentially look the same. does that make sense? it isn't an exact science, but what i'm saying is that if you are 100lbs and 5% body fat you carry roughly 5lbs of body fat. if you weigh 200lbs and you are 5% body fat you are 10%. things even out.

your body will adapt to a diet, but slight calorie modifications help ease that. many people can add size while increasing calories only slightly. I do not have any scientific evidence of this, but I have seen it done. Myself i always bulk with what could be construed as "extremes" basically 4500cals everyday. but when i cut i can usually gain strength throughout my cut, but i lose size due to water and fat loss.

I see, so for keeping fat down would you suggest 45-60m ss cardio on wakeup 5-6 days a week? Or what do you normally do, if any cardio at all?

well many guys i know won't do a bit of cardio when bulking. all energy is potentially saved for workouts. honestly, if your diet is very strict you can bulk with minimal fat. also depends if you are using gear.

myself, during my bulks i run sprints 2-3 days a week, and i may get up one day during the weekend or an off day and do a 60 minute session of cardio in the morning. also, it really depends on if i think i'm gaining too quickly. listen to your body.

Yeah it just depends on your body and how much bulking you truly want to do, how easy you bulk, etc, etc....Personally, I still do ss cardio first thing in the morning 45min 6 days a week when bulking, basically just bc I like the endorphine release I get from it and it keeps my bf% in check.
