    Permanently darker skin?

I wanted to know if this has applied to anyone who has used melanotan one or melanotan II.
I noticed something the other day. My uncle who moved from the UK to France, and my girlfriend who lives in Spain (Having been born in the UK and lived there until a few years ago) both have the same natural skin tone as I do. That is, a Fitzpatrick Type II, and fairly pale when without any tan.
    Anyway, to the point.
It is obviously winter for us in the UK and has been for a while. Neither my uncle or girlfriend use sunbeds. However, they both have a darker shade of skin than they used to have. For example, my girlfriend still has noticable tan lines around her bikini line, to the extent I asked her if she was using fake tan etc to maintain it. She then reminded me that she never uses fake tan and isnt sure why she still has the tan- its obviously good though! By the way, as were together at university in the UK, she only returns to Spain during the summer.
My uncle has a generally darker skin tone as well, not massively darker, but again notciable. He doesnt use fake tan etc.
So, I've come to the conclusion that going through a period of prolonged sun exposure- in these cases months on end- you can develop a slightly darker base of skin tone. Obviously this is dependant on which areas are exposed, but my girlfriends tan shows no sign of fading any further. So I'm left wondering, by using melanotan II for a long period of time and exposing yourself as well, if you came completely off melanotan II and stopped exposure for a while, I would assume that you too would have a slightly more tanned natural loo about you??

If anyone has used melanotan II for a long time and then stopped completely, what are your experiences with this?
I ask because my girlfriend used to be like me and burn first and eventually tan, but now with her slightly darker complexion and higher tolerance to the sun therefore, she rarely burns and tans first time.
Anyone with information or experience regarding this, please speak up!
It would be great if you could do one course of melanotan II for say, 6 months including summer, and then have a darker skin tone that stays!
Maybe Im clutching at straws, but thought Id ask.

only way it would stay if you get enough sun exposure or stay on maintenance dose mt I or II.

if your girl would stay inside all the time she would lose her tan.
