    Thumbs down need direction

Unfortunately i don't really have any pictures i can post. I may get some up later. But right now, im 17. I'm probably pushing 6'1 and I have a terrible time gaining weight or muscle mass. I am nothing but skin and bones, probably 135 pounds. I have tryed working out but maybe I'm just not on the right workout plan. My goal is to gain wait and put on some muscle. And I was considering trying steroids. Any suggestions? Or do i just need a better workout plan? It seems to me that I may have an over-active metabilism.

You sound like a friend of mine but he is now 224lb of lean muscle after alot of hard work..

If i was you i would work on my diet properly and then start lifting some serious weights but not over the space of two weeks.. Then you should start to see some size and shape... As for steroids i cannot comment as i have never used them but i'm sure someone will be along shortly.

How long have you been training and what is you daily diet ?

I'm pretty much just starting out. But as of now I eat pretty well whatever I want, been working out for about 6 months on an every second or third day basis and have seen next to no progress. I'm assuming thats because I need to work on a diet plan first?

Yes, at least 80% of your potential gains are directly related to proper diet.

Read the links Big has posted, just had a read myself and theres some good info there..

The best way to gauge progress is by measurements and pictures otherwise you will always feel like there is not much going on.

Also check out fitday.com for some good nutritional info. I used to think I ate a lot, if you start tracking exactly what you eat every day and the related nutritional values, chances are you will see room for improvement. I know I did.
    Good luck.
