I have been wondering lately if taking EFA’s with the first meal of the day is a good thing? I know that EFA’s (ex. Olive oil, fish oil) slow down absorption which necessary wouldn’t be a good thing for your first meal of the day. I mean your body has been fasting all night and needs nutrients asap. I normally consume a 45g whey protein shake, table spoon of olive oil, teaspoon of fish oil, along with a multi-vitamin first thing in the morning and then a cup of oatmeal 30 minutes later. Are the EFA’s slowing down the absorption of the protein? Should I wait until my morning snack (2 hours later then my first meal) to consume the EFA’s?
