Anyone with a long-term knee injury which means no leg training?

How have you coped/how did you cope?

I have had a few knee operations in the past few years and i am not allowed to train my legs.

I am allowed on the bike to do a bit of general cycling and also straight leg raises, etc... the usual rehabilitation stuff.

I had osteo-chondral grafting and before that i had a microfracture procedure.

Anyone had similar problems and cant do normal leg work but still managed to get their quad strength and size back?

    Thanks.

I have major foot problems which kill my leg workouts. I did it for a while and ended up looking like a canadian mounty police (big thighs up top nothing at bottom) ater just machines and no pressing whatsoever....just doesnt turn out right without squats or sled or whatever. I gave up and no longer do legs

Hi - how is your general progress?

Do you do any exercises for your legs at all?

I dont think i will be doing any leg work apart from the bike for a long time.

I gave up. I just couldnt keep motivated with such a cap on my growth and like I said, what I did develop just looked too awkward. I'm taking another shot at it soon enough but it's tough.

Ever since I injured my knee doing Kickboxing a few years back I haven't been able to go all out with working out... I used to do squats even after injury but now I can't really do those anymore. I'm not even sure what I did to my knee it just feels awkward walking on that leg and after a long day my knee is really aching and tired while my left one is just fine... I can still do pretty much everything else, just no squats...

I have a more or less premanent swollen knee after a trauma and arthritic desease, nevertheless as a pro-rider, there“s ways to buid up serious muscle with cycling and stabilising the knee like that.
