I love the amount of info on here, I am new to AAS and this is the only site I go to for info. There is so much I really don't think I need to look anywhere else because I'll never get through all this. So now for the question.....

Is proviron a compound for use ON a cycle or PCT?

I have read the profile more than once actually, and from the profile it appears to be for use during a cycle because after all it is a steroid. However there are so many guys on here that incorporate it into a PCT regiment that I am curious. I believe getting some personal experiences helps greatly when studying these compounds. One can get medical information anywhere but there aren't a whole lot of places to get this kind of input. But thanks for the tip Valcon.

A lot of guys will debate over this one...

Like you pointed out, proviron is a steroid, so seems totally against the point of doing a pct if your going to include it in there.

Some other guys say they dont think its strong acting and therefore only going to have minimal suppression on there natty system and pct will far out power that effect, but have the added effect of keeping gains. Which is actually true.

And also the fact as proviron is a dht it wont convert to estrogen and will have an estrogen blocking effect.
But read in the profile on it how it effects natty production. It doesnt.

Personally i would go for the first option and keep it out of pct, but it can be used.

BOTH. I always use proviron with my testosterone and heres why. Proviron will bind to SHBG making the test free and active. Your body will produce sexual hormone binding globin (SHBG) to bind to your testosterone and de-activates it. The proviron will bind to the globins and that leaves the testosterone free to do it's job.

I also use it in my PCT for the exact same reason plus it does not hinder your natural production of testosterone at all(unless you take more than ~100mg/day). In a post cycle your test is very low and you need all the free test you can get, proviron is there for that. In addition to the anabolic properties of the free test it does wonders for your sex life, I mean wonders!) I also feel extra aggression when on proviron, great compound that is written off by too many because of it's weak anabolic properties, it's just misunderstood.

Thanks alot Shifty, Kfrost, and James. I knew I could count on some of the senior guys for a good answer. But it raises a follow up question. If you use it for both purposes do you run it at the same dose from day one of your cycle straight through till the end of PCT?

I do, when on testosterone I use 50mg/day split in 2 doses of 25mg because of short active life. I do the same for PCT, sometimes I will up it to 75mg/day but never more than that on PCT. Studies have showed that above 100mg/day it can start to have a negative effect on your HPTA
