Eggs have 6 grams of protein, 3 in yolk and 3 in white.
6 to 8 grams depending on the size of the egg. You can eat that many if you want it wont hurt anything.
thanks guys
extra large has 7 in whole egg, 3.8 in white.
Woops I meant to say all the albumin protein was in the egg whites. So yeah about half is albumin protein the other half is in the yoke. LOL
charles poliquins site has a little blurb about eggs...most people order egg whites only....he suggests whole eggs....i guess the whole cholesterol thing is what people worry about
As long as you don't overshoot your kcal allotment for the day you're good to go.
I seldom separate yolks from the whites.
Honestly, egg whites taste like ass to me... so i incorporate whole eggs wherever feasible.
e.g. if i'm alloted 6gr of fat per meal, I have a lean protein source + a whole egg (which supplies 4.5 gr + a minuscule amount from the lean protein source)... etc.
It all boils back down to your macro spread and kcal allotments.
