Olympic Torchbearer has Tibetan flag confiscated by Chinese Police in San Francisco

I'll give you a brief summary. An official Olympic Torchbearer was holding the torch marching down the streets of San Francisco. About 30 Chinese paramilitary "special police" (Communist police) are guarding the torch during the march through San Francisco, California. The torchbearer decided to carry a Tibetan flag during her run down a public street, in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, choosing to exercise her 1st Amendment right in a public place. The Chinese paramilitary police ripped the flag from her hands and then San Francisco Police pushed her out of the march.

The hosting country always governs the Olympic march therefore they abide by their rules and orders. Although I don't agree with anything that was done in that video there's a larger issue I have with what is going on here; never should the Olympics or any other non-political event be used as a platform for political awareness. We have people like Hillary Clinton asking President Bush to protest the Olympics because of all their mess (not ours) yet Hillary is doing nothing about it herself. She's using someone elses loss as extra publicity for her campaign. Same goes for the all of a sudden outraged torchbearers, did they all meet up and decide to protest something just because they were going to get the airtime? This is a peaceful sporting event in which these people should be honored to carry the torch. It's not an event that is used to cause more controversy.
