    Entrapment...

    Im just wondering if anyone knows how the laws of entrapment apply to online communications??

    For example, if I was to ask someone if they were affiliated with any law enforcement agency foreign of domestic, would they be required to be forthcoming if they were?

    Entrapment is one of the most misunderstood concepts. Cops do not have to identify themselves, deception and enticement (sp?) to some degree are allowed, etc

    the police can get away with a lot more than expected. but, if you are just looking to buy juice, they aren't going to waste their time popping you. if they pull over your car or something and you have it on you, then yes. if they find it in the mail, they will confiscate it. but that's it. they have too many guys higher up they worried about popping. all of LE who post on here undercover are looking to catch the suppliers and sellers. i ordered a sh*tload of juice off the internet one time and something got screwed up and went to the wrong address, so i never got it and it ended up going to USPS's main postal hub and you know they eventually opened it and found it. but, did they do anything to me....no. I lost out on a grand of juice though. they don't have the time or the resources. they are out to catch the ones selling.

    so, unless you selling bro, i wouldn't be too worried.

    You seen the show to "catch a predator" well the guys always ask if its a cop trying to get one of the guys for trying to have sex with a minor. So no they dont have to answer.

    Na thats silly ofcourse they dont have to tell you theyre a cop. but thats not entrapment anyway.

    You may be reffering to somethin similar tho i cant remember its exact name its been a while since i studied law in vce but i know its illegal for a cop to come to you with no grounds of suspicion ( where they have reason to beleive you have or will commit a crime ie. purchasing steroids) and try to have you partake in somethin illegal ( in this case buying steroids). They cannot initiate it, i know thats definately not allowed. If you said hey man know where i can buy some steroids or they have grounds to suspect you have purchased or are planning to purchase steroids... then you my friend are F.U. K E D

    The "are you a cop" thing only works with cops...,DEA, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, ATF, none of them ave to even go by that, if you ask they can completely lie to you and are not violating anything!
