testing for drug potency

With all the fakes in circulation and popularity of non-factory drugs, i was wondering if anyone knows how i can go about verifying the drug is what they say it is and getting the potency checked on some juice (ie. labs, organizations,or companies that do medical/chemical testing)

from what ive heard it isn't cheap, just make friends with your local organic chemistry professor...(still trying to convince mine to make me some ghb, hahah)

any chem major or bio major with a knack in organic chem can run a mass spec on any gear. Its not too complicated. I remember we used to run them all the time for our products. Just a matter or changing their solution.
