    workout split

so im always reading that people recommend working out each muscle group only once a week so as to allow enough time for rest but i've always thought this was too much time. I used to work out each muscle every 3 days but realized it wasnt enough rest so i switched it to every 4 days. Im still not quite sure if im resting enough. What do you guys think? i know everyones body is different, but in general what do you think? what are some of your workouts

Simple, you have to see and feel how your body reacts and how much time you have to rest to fully recover. Everybody's different.

Like ChuckLee said, go at your own pace. If you feel good with your current workout and you like your results then dont sweat it. Dont be afraid to change it up a bit though.

From my personal experience I can workout a muscle group again the failure a day after the muscle soreness is gone. For me, the second day after hitting a group, lets say chest, is the most painful as the muscle is repairing itself, once that pain/soreness is gone I can hit that group again if I so choose to. Some times I hit it right away, and other times I will wait a week from the last workout. I like to mix it up and keep my body guessing.

for me it depends on whether I'm on cycle or off. I recover a lot quicker on cycle
