So been watching some old Tyson Vidz and found these two classics

Absolute animal. He'd kill someone if he had the chance in that ring. (Last fight in the vid)

I’ve been a Tyson fan since a young boy.
I’ve always respected the skill he had as a boxer and the athletic ability as an athlete.
I think with a overwhelming number, that most would notice or speak of his power behind his punches as to being his best asset. I however feel he was so fast and that is what allowed him to become such a great fighter.
I’ve seen about every Tyson fight 3 or 4 times, in the early days, Tyson had very nice movement, his head was never still, he was consistently ducking and weaving side to side. His movement balanced with his remarkable speed and unmatched power proved to be too much for most fighters.
In Tyson’s demise, he was not that fighter; he began to rely only on his power behind his punches. He tried to trade blow for blow with fighters. It worked with lesser fighters but will not work with a more skilled fighter who is using movement…he was a punching bag. Prior to his demise, his chin was never really tested, after his last fight with Lenox Lewis, he proved to have one of the best chins in boxing history.
To me, boxing post-Tyson is falling apart. It’s lost interest, there are no remarkable heavy weights and MMA/UFC/Pride fights are now way more appealing to the majority of the population. Honestly, Tyson was the last great heavy weight that will be remembered in the next 20 years, and I don’t see boxing becoming anything more than it is now and MMA taking its place as the most watched fighting sport.

nicely put Jdogg.... I followed Tyson through the olympics and after.... big fan of him until all his problems.... biggest turn off and let down for me was when he bit Evanders ear....from then I have no respect for the boxer.... man, I remember before he fought Douglas, Evander was coming up to HW div and shortly after Lennox was moving up... it was going to be some great matches..... instead, it was a big bust in the Heavy Weight division and who knows what would of really happend...

Holyfield and Lennox never got to find out who was really the best in the prime action... never got the full ticket to boxing glory..imo

I also agree that the HW division went down hill from there, but not boxing as a whole... there are still many, many good fights.... the heavyweights have always been the bread and butter of boxing... so boxing really needs some big boys to step up to the plate....

"I was gonna rip his heart out. I'm the best ever. I'm the most brutal and vicious, the most ruthless champion there has ever been. No one can stop me. Lennox is a conqueror? No! He's no Alexander! I'm Alexander! I'm the best ever. I'm Sonny Liston. I'm Jack Dempsey. There's never been anyone like me. I'm from their cloth. There is no one who can match me. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want his heart! I want to eat his children! Praise be to Allah!"

I always have liked Mike. I just wish he ate a meal before the Evander fight.

watching tyson's rise during the eighties was amazing, watching his decline wasn't so much fun.

I think he should have his own reality show, "The Punch of Love" that would be entertaining!!!
