    I hate FEDEX

I shipped my plasma tv fedex when i moved from NY to Texas. It packed perfectly. I insured it just in case. When it came it looked like they ran it over. The box was destroyed. The screen shatered. All corners of the tv plastic frame are cracked and the back of the tv wich was metal is dented.

The have a 163 page clause that says nothing about tv's. But 1 line is so vague they can make it fit anything and they are. So no im completly out my 3k plasma. I would have just given it away instead

Bunch of bastards. Its truly sad how petty this world has become. If you think about things like this people will try SO HARD just to not let another person get their money.

I mean look at retail, you want to return something and they will try so hard just so you dont get what you want. You buy a t-shirt for $20 and want to return it and they will argue and try their best just so you dont get your own $ back. We just dont like helping one another now a days lol.

It's really pathetic, they know you arent happy and you lost your TV but will try as hard as possible keep themselves from having to help you.

Nevermind trying to make the patron happy, companies will do anything they can just to keep a couple $ from you.

I did this business plan at school and this girl who is some manager at UPS told me to NEVER EVER write "fragile" on your shipment.

im a manager of a warehouse where all we do is ship expensive automotive products. and yes, FEDEX is the worst. we use all the shippers. but Fedex always messes our shit up. and my company wants to start using them for our international orders... i totally flipped and showed them the pile of returns from customers cuz of the damage Fedex has caused to them. so they are rethinking that idea

Sorry you had a bad experience, but FedEx does only cover $100. unless you declare a higher value... The only stuff that is not covered by declaring a higher value are items of extraordinary value...i.e., jewelry and paintings,etc... items that hold value in the eye of the beholder, not necessarily a true market value...

A TV is not an item of extraordinary value and you should have insured it... If you role the dice cause you don't want to pay extra for insurance that's what happens... if you did not know you were suppose to use insurance then it is a bad experience for sure.

I did insure it for $1500. They are using the extraodinary value claus to get out of paying me for it. Even though no where in the claus does it saying anything about tv's

Are you sure you talked to the right people??.. a tv is an item with a clear market value such as a computer,etc.... why would it be extraoridinary value? think about the term used and underlined... I think you need to push and talk some more. I don't see how they can classify a TV as extraordinary??? you need to ask them to explain that and then move on up the chain of command... mistakes happen. I don't work in that department, but to tell you the truth that is the first i have heard of an item like that getting refused for insurance??

I think you need to work your way up the chain of command via bitching...if you paid for the insurance they owe you a new tv. I fed-ex tons of stuff every day but never declare a value because the value of the stuff I send is like hundreds of thousands (medical crap).

you won't get better international service... who would use? DHL? you should look into packaging methods at your company.... I have seen a lot of heavy metal parts in a paper thin box... that is settin up for failure with any carrier... Every company mishandles packages and shipments, but the biggest problems usually rest on the packaging method.... we have the same claims with the same accounts... that is packaging issue...

I spoke to 1 supervisior in Customer service. And he told me the same thing you are. I appealed the decision and still lost. This has been going on for 2 weeks.

It would have made a surgery get cxled, not life and death but I paid for saturday delivery and they scanned it into the deliver monday pile. Not good enough.

tell them you want to speak to his/her boss and then their boss and then their boss and ask for names... and then say that if they don't explain why the TV is considered an item of extraordinary value then they can explain it to a lawyer because you have been taken for a ride.....

yea, I am just messin with you... about every other day I get someon saying we just cost them millions of dollars... and they want us to cover all the costs of their labor and downed machinery etc... it is very serious at time but it is all fun and games after the fact...

Gixxer remember what I said.. a TV is an item that is sold all over the world for roughly the same price and has parts that are all the same price wholesale etc... imo, a tv is a prime example of an item that is not extraordianary value... you need to understand your angle and method of approach to get results..

I tell you how I handle situations like this. I keep records of who I speak to the date and time I spoke to them. If I don’t get an answer, I find the corporate headquarters and research the corporate tree and start sending polite detailed letters and emails to the top people. The problems get fixed.
