It will work your rear delts but not to the extent that most people want. everyone is different. bent over rows are more for the middle of the upper back. Bent-over laterals are the best for posterior delts.

are they sore from working your back?
i always like to throw a few rear deltoid exercises after my back workout just to be sure.
any row movement will use the traps and rear delts a little bit but not enough to grow as much as doing say reverse flys or bent over lateral raises
