Thread: Pre Workout Meal Question.

    Pre Workout Meal Question.

Ive been using a cup of Oats with 1 scoop of whey Pre workout.

I have my diet squared away my only weak link is this meal and that is only because Im not very informed on pre workout meals.

Is this good enough to get me through my workout?

Would it kill me to skip it on the day/days I work Abbs? Its harder for me to feel the burn and I almost want to say it gives me a side ache on Abb days.

I would switch out the whey for a whole food protein and eat it about an hour to an hour and a half before your workout. You could cut the oatmeal to 2/3 cup or 1/2 cup on ab days or any of your lower output lifting days (ex. Biceps). I wouldnt cut it out all together though, its very important!!

no point in taking out your Preworkout meal at all. muscle is muscle and you will be burning glycogen out of it if you don't eat prior to lifting. As far as pre workout meals go, I would have a lean protein source and your carbs for that meal. are you bulking or cutting right now? either way, you could combine abs with some PWOcardio to aid in fat burning. especially since jogging, or walking on a treadmill utilized quite a bit of abdominal muscle.

I originally was going to bulk but just revamped my diet and workout to cut about 10 pounds first. I do 30 min of inclined walkin when I wake up and 30 min after my workout.

Today im working my abbs so im going to try about 4 oz of chicken pre workout with a bannana. Tried eating both chicken and oats the other day before working my abbs and it was just to much on my stomach, made me feel weird and I felt like I wasnt workin as hard as I could.

Also, was somewhat curious as to how a Bannana and 2 Table spoons of Natty Peanut butter would work for preworkout meal? Feels like chicken is to heavy thats why the Whey protein was convienent with the oats.
