Kimbo seriously needs a good opponent! They've really put him up against crap so far in MMA. I'm not saying Kimbo is a bad fighter, but I'd truly love to see his ground game vs. a skilled fighter. Hell, I'd even love to see his stand up game vs. a good striker...Liddell anyone?

I think the main reason for his loss here is he was just really out of shape. He had no stamina whatsoever and that is probably the most important thing when it comes to fighting. Towards the ends you could tell he was just gassed out but he wasn't really hurt at all, I don't think you can hurt him lol.

Yeah but that guy was a martial arts fighter boxing a boxer. If Kimbo was in shape he still would have been taken down and submitted. He is much better all around now anyway. Hes good, but I still hate him.

He's up against James Thompson (another easy fight for Kimbo in my opinion and I'm not biased towards Kimbo, either).

This has been debated over and over in the martial arts/boxing forum. Its ridiculous especially to bring Liddell into the argument. I guess nobody takes into consideration that there is a 40lb weight advantage for Kimbo and Liddell isn't a good boxer. His only true weapon is a wide over hand right. He lacks footwork and head movement. Everything that Kimbo has. I'd much rather see Kimbo against a true heavyweight contender like Brock Lesnar, Andrei Arlosky, Fedor, or someone like that. There isn't a light heavyweight who can hang with Kimbo's punching power.

You're also forgetting that Liddell is a former wrestler. He's very good too. Liddell got bored with the ground game and wanted to be known as more of a stand up guy. Kimbo vs. Liddell would still be a good fight regardless of the weight difference.

iceman wouldn't have anything on Kimbo.

    Kimbo is a monster.

heavy hands, and knows how to take a punch. Then again, I think its cuz of all that cushion from his beard. lol they should make him shave it.

James Thompson..... hmmm i cant see kimbo struggling too much.
Hes a good fighter but hes just an average good fighter. he would get owned big time in the UFC, hell he gets owned in CageRage. In oneof his last fights against an Unknown South African Karate instructor (Neil Grove). Thompson got sparked in 12 seconds.

I've said for ages a fight for Kimbo would be Grove.... but since Grove lost his last fight who knows if he will ever meet him.

i use to watch kimbo when he first started on you tube.
I have been following his progress and he is doing well.

he still has a long way to go..his conditioning has always been his problem. He will have to overcome that cause when he gets farther up in rank..most
of his fights will go the distance and that may not fair in his favour.

I think the guy is exciting nonetheless and I hope Bas Ruten is teaching him the ground game cause he will need it.
