lol I forgot about the infamous tennis thread, I stayed outta that one, coz it was obvious what was gona happen. Tennis is a sport btw lol, not one I would play though, because it requires ridiculous cardio ability (dont have) and therefore ridiculous calorie burning, and therefore lacking muscle size (not an option for a real man lol). Plus its a bit too much effort, give me eating all day, 5 hours of weight training and 3 hours of cardio a week over tennis 6 hours every day.

I would argue that Tennis definitely is the toughest sport on being an all over athlete. Soccer requires quite a bit of endurance, but it is also a team sport. Hockey just take physical toughness with endurance, but again it is a team sport.

I did wrestling, boxing, football and tennis, and the one that always required my peak physical performance was tennis.

Sad to see Federer having some tough times lately.

Id probably vote marathon running as the toughest sport, boring as hell, and well just an absolute bitch of a thing to do. Mountain climbing and triathlons etc arent too easy either.

I will chime in on Tennis being a real mans sport. As one can tell, I live to play. It's a sport that is taxing psychologically, and cardiovascularly. Before, staying with Tennis I did triathlons for a living. Now, I will say, triathlons training and competing is very strenuous. There was a study completed(I will try to find it) that showed, Tennis as a whole, had one of the highest IQ base's around. I will say that juggling training, playing, teaching, and using gear is the toughest thing I have ever done. But, I love the adrenaline rush and accomplishments that I achieve from doing it. I have lots of respect for the mma world along with the BB world, in the training, knowledge and sheer determination that goes with each. I will say, I thought I knew things about nutrition and lifting, but I believe I am still learning and thank all that have allowed me to do so on this site.

Yup Tennis is a definitely a tough sport, mentally as well. I went to the Rogers cup, womens, and wow. The speed they play at and strength they have is mezmerizing really. The long legs are appreciative as well. I checked out some of the Russians in qualifications and I couldn't watch the game.

The sister's are just as vocal off the court as on the court....Chisty Evert is a freak. She was on the tour and is still a freak. Greg Norman made a hole in one when he married her. She was a "partier" with McEnroe(sniff sniff) when they were together.

Explain yourself lol I don't think lifting weights takes any sort of overall athletic ability.

To my understanding everyone was just joking, it certianly isn't worth getting into again. It's funny to re-visit but not to re-live.
