    sleeping pills

I was wondering if anyone know of any sleeping pills that I can take and still be able to work out in the mornings, I have always had sleeping problems and now since Im working out a little late, sometimes I just dont sleep at all. I wake up at 5am take 4 lipoflame capsules then do cardio for 1/2hour, then I dont get home until 630-730 be at the gym at 8 the latest get out at 10 or 11 then take my protein shake and try to sleep. Im taking amp02 around 5pm. I took it at 8pm once I wasnt able to sleep the whole night.

Ambien, or time release ambien. You will wake up refreshed, although in my experience it's effects wear off some over time. I went from 7 hours of sleep waking feeling alive, alert, and ready to go... to only 5 hours of sleep and waking..

An alternative is to take a benzodiazapine (they are addictive, one must be prudent with their usage) to sleep and then take a modafonil upon waking. I do this sometimes and could easily jump into a workout after the modafonil kicks in within like 20 minutes. Benzo's are risky though, as well as habit forming. Additionally, if one develops a daily habit at a fairly high dose and stops suddenly, they can DIE. You must titrate off of benzodiazapines unless you only take them occassionally as needed.

The modafonil is a great wake up drug. I can wake up groggy as hell, if I have a modafonil tab on the bedstand and pop it I am jumping up out of bed 20 minutes later and ready to go go go. It's not like speed or as strong as ritalin or adderal though, it's a schedule IV drug.

Hard to get in the US as it's expensive and due to some patent bs it's on lockdown and mostly prescribed for narcolepsy. In other countries it's use much more widely for tiredness, working long hours, etc.

This is a drug that is going to be used widely in the USA when the patent expires. I recommend looking into it.

Seriously the best sleeping "aid" I have ever found without a script and a drug like effect for the night and next few days is: Excedrin PM

No joke two of these after a tough late night workout 1-2 hours before bed and im out through the whole night. Once im back in a habit of a good bed time I ocaionaly use only one (when needed) and sleep very well.

Excedrin PM is nothing like tylenol PM or others in its class (which dont do a damn thing for me)

    Good luck Bro

I tried this last night after I posted, Before I took them I had pass out for like 2 hours ( I usually cant sleep the whole night if I take a nap like that) woke up like at 12am then took one 3mgsmelatonin and slept really good until 9am this morning, at the begining my body felt heavy and didnt wanna get up but I guess it was cause of yesterdays work out.

So far so good Im going to keep on taking them and keep you none sleepers post it.

Like a few have said already melatonin is the magic bullet and the bonus is it is dirt cheap. For those it isn't working for make sure to take it about 30 minutes before you go to bed. Don't ask me why but it doesn't do squat if I take it right before bed.

diphendyramine hcl (whats in benadryl, unisom, and most OTC sleep aids) will leave you groggy, dry eyes, and muscle weakness in the mornings. I wouldn't recommend it.
Melatonin works for *some (not me) while others are unresponsive.
5-htp was decent but I believe thats banned now.
Ambien is good, I never had problems waking up in the morning on it.
Lunesta is a "z-drug" just like ambien so same story.
Problem there is getting a presciption for some.
What I'd personally recommend is this:

A combo of a few things depending on how much you need.
Passion flower tea will knock you the f out. BUT you need a good supplier, someone who has fresh leaves. Crap leaves off ebay rarely do shit.
Spend a bit more for a reputable ethnogenic supplier like iamshaman.com or psychoactiveherbs.

In combination to this use a L-theanine supplement. You can take "theanine-serene" with passion flower tea. Find the right dose for you and it WILL work.
Problem is obviously after a few months you'll need to raise the doses and it will eventually do less and less for you.
But if for 1-2 months you'll sleep great and wake up with no lethargy/grogginess at all.

Theres also valium and halcion + a million more prescription drugs that have short half lives. Obviously any benzo it addictive and tolerance grows fast.
THe most powerful theanine supplement is psychotropin but I'd go with the cheaper theanine-serene and some passion flower.
A big enough cup of PF tea will leave you wanting to do nothing but sleep and you'll have no issues waking up. But I'd take a smaller dose of both for the synergistic affects.

try taking the amp02 earlier man, after i took it i was wired for a good 10 hours...its pretty powerful stuff. Otherwise, nyquil is my drug of choice, knocks me out nicely.
