"Nolvadex" is to "Tamoxifen Citrate" as "Chevrolet" is to "Car". Nolvadex is the brand name, and Tamoxifen Citrate is the technical, scientific name.

What are you talking about?? Tamoxifen Citrate is the PHARMACEUTICAL NAME for the drug! That's like saying 100mg of Tylenol = 200mg of Acetaminophen. WRONG. TYLENOL IS ACETAMINOPHEN.

NOLVADEX IS TAMOXIFEN CITRATE. the BRAND NAME. "Nolvadex" can be found in 10mg and 20mg tablets, as seen here:

    http://www.**list.com/cgi/generic/tamox_ids.htm

10 mg Tablets containing tamoxifen as the citrate in an amount equivalent to 10 mg of tamoxifen (round, biconvex, uncoated, white tablet identified with NOLVADEX 600 debossed on one side and a cameo debossed on the other side) are supplied in bottles of 60 tablets. NDC 0310-0600-60.

20 mg Tablets containing tamoxifen as the citrate in an amount equivalent to 20 mg of tamoxifen (round, biconvex, uncoated, white tablet identified with NOLVADEX 604 debossed on one side and a cameo debossed on the other side) are supplied in bottles of 30 tablets. NDC 0310-0604-30.
The PHARMACEUTICAL NAME, Tamoxifen Citrate simply describes the compound, and can be found in ANY MEASUREMENT. People commonly call Tamoxifen Citrate "Nolvadex" simply because it's less of a mouthful. It's no different than going to a restaurant and ordering a PEPSI or COKE, rather than asking for a "cola"...
