Buddy of mine busted his wrist last week, was halfway thru week 6 of E/deca and is talking about skipping PCT, based on the theory that he shouldn't be shut down but i figured he would be... insight?

yes...
run a pct.... he may not be shut done horribly, but more than likely he is.
He should bounce back rather quickly IMO

Your first shot of deca shut you down (most likely). You'll want to PCT.
How'd you hurt your wrist?

this cat wrecked his bike and got lucky if ya ask me, its not my wrist that was injured, just lookin for verification that PCT would still be required... Still wait three weeks? (two more this was on tuesday last week)
