Side effects from HRT with heart, etc?

Has anybody experienced any side effects from the test C or Arimidex? I am having heart attack-like symptoms that are making me very nervous. A lot of heart palpitations, shortness of breath at times, tightening of chest, etc? I actually just made an appointment with a cardiologist to make sure everything is ok.

You're totally right to get your heart checked out. I'm not aware of TRT causing heart problems. In fact, low test has attributed to causing heart problems.

philly..the only similar experience i had was because i was doing too much and my blood pressure was up...150/110...did some thread searches and found out what i thought i understood from the nurse practicioner was wrong...backed way off and am now OK. Try Thorne Q-10 Plus for the heart palpatations. it settled mine way down.

and copy to Tesla. One heart so you can't be too careful.

Ditto to what Testa and Whiteowl mentioned. I've heard about some people that experience anxiety-type episodes while on test. I always assumed (and that's exactly what it is: an assumption-I'm no medical professional) that this was the reason that test seemed to pick guys up that were experiencing depression. I also had to cut back my dosage, so it's another case of trial and error for me. But hopefully it's just a case of too much for your particular body and can be adjusted. Good luck buddy!

How much of each compound are you doing? While you wait for the check up, check your blood pressure. As well as the Q-10 you could also try some Hawthorn Berry - a great heart tonic and it also helps drop blood pressure. Sup with garlic and if your BP is through the roof you can use a little baby aspirin for a temp solution.

I just had my blood pressure taken at the doc's last week while getting some blood work done and blood pressure was normal. Anxiety is def a possibility. I have always had anxiety issues, just not on the level of it causing chest pain and palpitations. I'll also check into the sups. Thanks

Philly let me know what did you decide to do after cause I have the same problem(took some sust 250 at the time) but still want to cycle. Now I am afraid to start one cause of the anxiety attacks with the chest pain(the same like yours) What the doctor said about the gear? Did you tell him? I heard that test e doesn't give you anxiety attacks, for me it doesn't make any sense but if someone verify that it's correct I will give it a try. thanks.

The thing is all advice comes from two basic sources - the "medical averages" and folks personal experiences. As with all things, YMMV so get checked and quick. My personal experienes have been just the opposite of what you are describing but a lot can also have to do with how much and how extensive was the background workup before starting the HRT. If you have been walking around with some sort of occult cardiac issues it seems at least plausible that HRT and the potential increase acivity often associated with it could cause those issues to decide to surface now.

Though if I were betting I'd put my $ on anxiety. Come to think of it I might have had some oddness the first couple times I self injected, light headedness or whatever - sort of based on the realization of what I'd done, this stuff was here, now it is in me, etc. If you are the type to reflect on that sort of thing it can sink in sorta weird.

you feeling any better? just reread this thread. When i switched from test enth to test cyp i had a nervousness that ran all day for about a week. Did you get your Dr to have a listen? Better safe than sprouting tulips.

I agree with Nathan. Just anxiety. I went through the exact same thing. Just dont let your Dr. talk you into some anti-depressant like Zoloft that will make you a zombie. That shits more addictive then crack. Good luck and keep up informed about your condition. I bet its nothing more then stress though. Maybe some acid reflux?

Not sure if it's anxiety. I had similar symptoms while on Test. It got so bad that I had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. I would definitely get checked out just to be sure.

My appointment with the Cardiologist was yesterday. He does not seem to think it is a big deal. Probably a combination of the excessive coffee I drink and anxiety, which I have always had problems with. I think the test probably just amplified the anxiety and effects from the caffeine intake. Just in case the doc wants me to undergo a stress test and walk around with a heart monitor for 24 hours. I made the appointment but am not sure I am going to follow through with it yet.

As far as anti-depressants, I have actually been on them for years. I am currently on Lexapro, which also acts like a stimulant.

don't know the why except the nurse said each ester can make each person feel differently...i reported hi anxiety sypmtoms with switch from enth to cyp...that was her explanation
