In need of experienced help people!!!!

I am a police officer and I know for a fact that in early october I will be getting an anabolic steroid urine test which happens every year. I currently have a prescribed script. for androgel which i cureently use. In early june I did one shot of sust 250 thats all. I got concerned because after reading this site I saw that sust. stays in your system for up to three months so I didnt get anymore shots. I continued my androgel treattment as prescribed one packet daily whuch seems to work fine for me. My questionis will the substances in sust. show up in the urine test or in general are they checking for testosterone levels. Hopefully they are because then I will be covered with the script I have. My calculated time would be close to 4 months since I had the shot. Am I safe? I may also stop the androgel three or so weeks before the urine test so I dont have to explain to the superiors wwhy i am taking the androgel. Internal politics stuff I dont need them to know. The urine test as stated by department policy will be done by state police and than also sent out to an independant labortory. Any help please. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Come on people. I am looking for a positive answer from one of you who has had the same experience. Since the two are testosterone treatments will they come up as same in a urine test for anabolic steroids. Or are they different in such because one is a gel and one is a shot. I hope and think I may have nothing to worry about because of the long time lapse of the shot and I only did one. Or is there a chemical makeup in the shot that may still show up still after three months..

i'm not for sure on this but i would imagine the two are different because the injectable has attached esters, (ie prop. etc) and those can be tested for. the gel will probably just show an elevated test level. so, it will depend on the test they give you. if it will be three months since the one sust shot, you will probably be fine especially if it is just a urine test. also an actual steroid test is expensive from what i gather. so they might just check the test levels to see if they need to go any further. also i would check your departmental policy because if you are currently under a prescription, you be in violation of the policy simply by not advising them you have a prescription for the particular substance. that in itself could get you disciplined if the androge/test level is detected. however, i am not a doctor and am just giving you an opinion. somebody more experienced in this matter could probably help a bit more. good luck.
