    carrying permit

just wanted to see who has a permit to carry and why. i have had one for a few years now and plan on keeping it forever. i had a gun pulled on me before and the next week i applied for one. for no good reason i had 2 people pull a gun on me and try to kill me. im not going to go into details about the situation but i will tell you that the next time something like this happens i will blow the low life scum bags brain right out of the back of his head.

see it's stuff like that that i dont get... they make it illegal for law abiding citizns to get guns (some places here too) like the criminals are gonna not get them cause they are illegal.. ya ask me, it just leaves the law abiding people vulnerable...

I can't get a permit cause we don't have ccw in NY, which is absurd to even think you need a law to secure your rights. Too many liberals in NY who think they know whats best for you.

If someone gets the drop on you, having a gun on you isn't going to help, unless they pull a knife or something instead of a gun, they're just gonna get your gun too in addition to your wallet I figure. Idk, too much crap to carry...cell phone, wallet, car keys, gun. I've been held up at gun point too, it sucks.

haha, yeah, I'm not knockin you. It's just not for me...I don't even keep a gun in the house, although I would like one. I grew up shooting guns, I should get one.

If I got something, it would be a fairly compact pistol to keep loaded in my nightstand. I did a little hunting, for deer and pheasant and stuff like that as a kid. Did a lot of .22 target shooting, slightly competitive through my gun club. Have many friends with guns and have shot many different types. Last gun I shot was a 1800's replica black powder pistol maybe 3 weeks ago. I shot a tree with it, I think it learned it's lesson.

i have one. my ccw is a .38 snub nose. nice, light and easy to carry.

people are animals here. some kid got beat up not too long ago, goes home, and his own mother gives him and gun and tells him to "go get 'em"

kid goes out and shoots and kills someone. these people aren't even human, they act like fvckin animals. they will kill you like stepping on a roach... its no different to them.

depending on were you live its unfortunate that its the truth. most of the ones doing the shooting has been in and out of jail there entire life and jail is just a 2nd home to them. all i know is that if some punk pulls a gun on me again im not going out without a fight or at least im taking him with me

the way i see it is if everyone carried, the good people with guns would out number the bad, and then the bad would have to catch you 100% all alone to get away with anything... if everyone around you had a gun, the criminals would think alot more then twice before they tried using theirs... I NEED TO MOVE TO TEXAS!!!

yeah dude..this year at mardi gras some 16 year old opened up with an ak down a side street towards the parade route and hit a few ppl. for no apparent reason....

look what happened at va tech. that crazy fool killed over 30 people with a .22 and a 9mm. now im not saying go to class packing but one person with a gun could have ended that rather quickly.

Did you think about that before you typed it out ?

Most people can't even operate a cell phone let alone be able to CORRECTLY handle and discharge a firearm.

no one said they had to be loaded... if a guns pointing at you, you assume it is... you freeze.... and ifit was aloud for people to carry them around, people would be free to learn to use them... and in a situation where i'm getting robbed, i could care less if the perso saving my ass can shoot or not, justas long as they can point it in the general direction ofthe guy robbing me... FREEZE SUCKA!!!!!!! shit could be plastic for all i care...

    A-****IN-MEN

They should do a logic screening before letting people join the military i swear.
Some of the ass backwards things some people I work with have said.

Even better, you people would be excited to hear, that about 75% of people in the Navy arent even qualified to use a firearm. lmao. When I went through the Auxiliary Security Force academy for the navy i was in awe watching these people trying to operate the beretta m9...

"excuse me? where is the slide release lever?"

besides, if everyone was allowed to carry, it really only the people comfortable with doing so that would be in the majority... those that aint wouldnt need to cause its like havving a cop every 4th or 5th person... but they should definately need a test to pass for usage... i didn't mean just walk in buy one and stick it in your pocket...

What are you 16? Do you reread your posts before you post them?

Lets add alittle common sense into this little logic... even though common sense isnt so common anymore.

If someone is pointing a gun at you, robbing you... youre going to pull a gun out and shoot him first? Did you grow up on a hollywood movie set?

actually i had the highest score at the range, was offered $50,000 to join the nuclear program but turned it down to persue SEAL training... so any time you wanna compare logic skills i'd be happy to...

I personally had a dude pull a gun on me... and didnt know how to use it... pathetic...

In a situation like that, had i had my gun with me... only thing i would have wound up with was cuffs on the wrists. In this liberal country we live in today, the laws and bi-laws work out only for the criminal

lol you think scoring 90s on the asvab is an achievement? Its actually almost identical to the New York G.E.D. final exam, all except the coding.

Your little immature character attacks are "backed into a corner" tactics. Instead of concentrating on my writing skills how about you debate about the topic at hand.

lmao... your definitely an 18yr old that just enlisted. I can see it in your 9th grade come backs.

Either way you want to look at it, guns dont belong in the hands of every person. However at the same time, if a person can operate a motor vehicle, has no previous felonies and passes a simple background check, then they have the right to purchase
