What do they perscribe for an infrection?

    Hey guys,

I think my left glute is infected, Im not really sure how as I took all the nessacary safety precautions, to be honest my roommate is a nurse and he did all of it for me,HOWEVER here we are and i have a room mark that is warm to the touch.

Thing is I just had cellultic or staff/skin infection about 2 months ago due to a baseball related situiation and was prescribes CLINDMYCIN 300MG CAPS,

If this will work again I can short cut the hassle and just call the doc and ask for another perscription?

    ADVICE?!?!?

CLINDMYCIN, will help. Also good for the clap. Don't mess around get on it quick. Go to the ER if it gets very bad at all. You don't want to walk around with one ass cheak the rest of your life. Tell them at the ER something like, tried a B-12 shot or something. You can actually tell them the truth and they cant do anything about it however.

    most the time amoxicillin -
Amoxicillin is an antibiotic in the penicillin group of drugs. It fights bacteria in your body.

Amoxicillin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as ear infections, bladder infections, pneumonia, gonorrhea, and E. coli or salmonella infection. Amoxicillin is also sometimes used together with another antibiotic called clarithromycin (Biaxin) to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. This combination is sometimes used with a stomach acid reducer called lansoprazole (Prevacid).

Amoxicillin may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Sorry I was wrong, don't take the clindmycin, take the penn. instead.
inject penn at the farm supply store is for cattle but its the exact same thing, just got to figure out the 1cc for every 500lb. thing. Shots work much faster than pills in this case. You may want to take all three

I got it confused with another anti-botic for clap. Take the clin after your cycle for acne.
you can take the amox with the penn if you want

dude amox is fine to go find injectable penn is a pain in the ass.but its up to you i have amox on hand all the time when on cycle because of infections because if you catch it quick enough it doesn't spread and your able to nip it.

For $5 dollars I can go to the university nurse .. lie and say I shoot b12 into my butt and ask for penicillin or amoxcillin and they should give it to me w little trouble.... or I could call home to good old mama and have her send me up a bottle she has in the cabinet

first off dont take someone elses antibiotics, especially antibiotics. antibiotics need to be taken all the way through a presription to work effectively. you need to go to the university nurse tell em it was a b-12 shot. they can give you many different antibiotics. in my opinion you should be prescribed a first generation cephalosporin like Keflex. Keflex is excellent when it comes to fighting certain bacteria related to skin infections. and never tell them you injected steroids! if down the road an insurance company saw that it could reflect in coverage and premium costs. trust me. it happens everyday and people who know will agree with me and people who dont know will say an insurance company cant do that. well i know they can and do.

    LEX,

Would clindamycin work as this is what was perscribed to me when they thought i had mirsa. turned out just to be nasty case of cellutis on my knee from baseball. I can see my doctor at home and get prescribed this very easily.

    or

go to the university nurse and stick w the b12 story and need an antibiotic?

sure they use clindamycin for serious infections. it is another good antibiotic for skin related conditions. if it were done properly the would lance it, do a culture, determine the exact bacteria and prescribe a narrow spectrum antibiotic to treat the specific bacteria causing the infection. and that is what should be done. all the other stuff is guessing. you may have a type of bacteria that could easily be killed with the proper antibiotic. i would suggest seeing the university nurse for 5 bucks. jmo.

    AGREED,

However we are talking about a University nurse and Im paying 5-10$ for my visit and antibotics so Im pretty sure they are just going to guess as well.. very unlikely to go through all the steps as a hospital or true phsycian would.

But I will hopefully have the Clindamycin on hand.. and still see the uni nurse and go from there.

Thank you - made me feel alil better about this infection and getting it cleaned up
